Application Process
Are you interested in applying to become a student at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology? You’re in the right place!

Application Requirements
Proof of Residency
We’ve outlined who qualifies to apply below:
- Residents of Pennsylvania^ (must have residency for minimum one year).
- Active Duty*: full-time employment with the U.S. Armed Forces. Proof of employment is required (active military ID, etc.).
- Veteran*: former member of the Armed Forces of the United States (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy) who served on active duty and was discharged under conditions which were other than dishonorable. DD214 member 4 copy is required.
*Family– immediate family unit, including children/stepchildren, and spouses are also able to attend Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology.
^The College reserves the right to make exceptions to this policy as needed.
High School Transcript or GED
All students must possess a high school diploma or GED before beginning classes.
Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology requires applicants obtain at least a 2.0 GPA or higher at the time of transcript submission.
Official transcripts are defined as those sent directly from the high school to the Admissions Office. The Admissions team will not accept transcripts submitted by a student or a parent/guardian.
For those with high school credentials from outside of the United States, we would request translated documentation. Please find more information on our policy of Credit Evaluation from Foreign Educational Institutions.
Application Steps
The following items are required for each applicant.
Note that these applications are for attending a two-year degree or a certificate program at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, not for attending a short-term or professional development skills training at the Workforce & Economic Development Center.

- $45 application fee
- This fee is non-refundable.
Fee waiver forms available for:
- Current High School Students
- High School Graduates or applicants no longer enrolled in high school
- Completed fee waivers must be returned to admissions@stevenscollege.edu
3. Official high school transcript or GED scores
- Transcripts and scores may be sent via email, mail, or electronic service. Email is our preferred method. Please use admissions@stevenscollege.edu.
The admissions team will communicate updates, status changes, and enrollment decisions via the applicant portal and to the email that was provided on the admissions application.

Accessibility Office
Accessibility can apply to many areas, including housing, dietary, mental health, injury, medical conditions, academic, social, testing, technology, building access, etc. Students can qualify for accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) if they have a diagnosis or temporary condition that substantially limits major life activities. Applicants who are requesting accommodations should complete the accommodation request form and provide documentation in electronic format to Michele Cherubin, Accessibility Coordinator: accessibility@stevenscollege.edu.

SAT scores can be requested from the College Board.
College Transcripts
If applicable, please request an official college transcript be sent to Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. We are unable to accept unofficial transcripts for review and transferability purposes.
Application and Decision Timeline
Fall 2027 application opens September 1, 2026.
- First round of enrollment decisions = Week of October 26, 2026
- Second round of enrollment decisions = Week of December 14, 2026
- Third round of enrollment decisions = Week of January 25, 227
- Rolling enrollment decisions will occur beginning the week of February 1, 2027
